In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting U.S. revenue accounting activities within Moderna’s commercial accounting environment. Working closely with colleagues across the United States and Poland, you will help ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of revenue accounting operations while supporting a rapidly growing global business. This is an opportunity for a highly detail-oriented accounting professional to contribute across revenue accounting, gross-to-net activities, order-to-cash processes, financial close activities, compliance requirements, and process improvements. Here's What You'll Do: Support U.S. revenue accounting activities, including reconciliations, accounting analysis, gross-to-net deduction reviews, and other revenue-related accounting processes. Assist with month-end and quarter-end close activities, including the preparation and posting of journal entries, account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and close-related analyses. Support both U.S. and OUS revenue accounting close activities while partnering closely with internal accounting team members and stakeholders. Collaborate with the U.S.-based Revenue Accounting team and the Poland-based Accounting Manager supporting U.S. and OUS revenue accounting operations. Support order-to-cash accounting processes, including invoice analysis, cash application oversight, and the investigation and resolution of account discrepancies and outstanding customer account balances. Review customer accounts and support the accurate accounting treatment of revenue-related transactions. Maintain documentation and evidence supporting SOX controls, internal controls, audit readiness, and compliance requirements. Assist with internal and external audit activities and provide accounting support for compliance-related initiatives. Support ongoing process improvement, automation, and standardization initiatives across revenue accounting processes. Utilize digital tools, systems, and emerging technologies to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of accounting operations. Partner effectively with accounting, finance, and cross-functional teams to support operational and financial objectives. Participate in special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned, including management requests, compliance activities, audits, and support for evolving business needs. Here’s What You’ll Need (Basic Qualifications) Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, including revenue accounting and/or general accounting responsibilities within a complex business environment. Strong understanding of accounting principles, including reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities. Experience supporting revenue accounting, accounts receivable, or general accounting processes required; experience with order-to-cash processes is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established accounting procedures and processes. Demonstrated ability to manage assigned responsibilities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. Ability to collaborate effectively with accounting, finance, and business partners across a global organization. Full professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Pharma, biotech, or healthcare industry experience is a plus. ERP system experience and proficiency in Excel preferred; SAP experience is a plus.
