We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Blair, Nebraska. This role involves managing financial close processes, ensuring accurate reporting, and contributing to the continuous improvement of accounting practices. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including preparing accruals and reconciling balance sheets.
• Ensure the accurate recording and reporting of all financial transactions.
• Audit revenue recognition procedures to confirm compliance and proper period allocation.
• Analyze and resolve issues related to credit memos and billing discrepancies.
• Develop strategies to reduce billing errors and improve customer invoicing processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize project accounting workflows.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, fostering effective communication and partnership.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in financial reporting and billing.
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve the accuracy and timeliness of financial data.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• High attention to detail with the ability to work independently.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of building strong internal relationships.
• Familiarity with general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliation processes.
• Experience in financial reporting and month-end close activities.
