POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Staff Accountant with WORKDAY Financial experience to join our dynamic finance team. This role is integral to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records while supporting key reporting and compliance functions. As a Staff Accountant, you’ll work closely with stakeholders across the organization to deliver actionable financial insights and champion best practices in accounting.

PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience with WORKDAY Financial
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2-4+ years of experience in accounting roles, ideally with exposure to fixed asset accounting and compliance reporting.
Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical skills with a passion for problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build cross-functional relationships.

Responsibilities

Prepare and document journal entries into general ledger accounts by compiling and analyzing financial data to support business transactions.
Maintain fixed asset detail records and reconcile these monthly with the general ledger.
Collect relevant data and prepare various state/local reports and tax returns, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Analyze financial information, including assets, liabilities, and capital, to assist in creating balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements, and other financial reports.
Collaborate with leadership to interpret the company’s current and projected financial position.
Approve financial transactions within designated limits while ensuring proper handling and adherence to company and GAAP standards.
Investigate and resolve errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports to improve accuracy.
Support the Controller with the annual audit processes and deliverables.
Install, modify, document, and assist in the implementation of accounting systems and control procedures.
Conduct statistical analyses to identify trends, forecast outcomes, and provide narrative reports summarizing findings.
