We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in the heart of the environmental services sector. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance, directly contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional waste management solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive business administrative accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., ComputerEase, NetSuite, SAP, or similar).
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial analysis tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

• Manage and oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits and tax filings.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff.
• Collaborate with management to identify opportunities for process improvements and financial efficiency.
