Description About Us State Fire is a well-established fire protection company providing inspection, installation, and service of life safety systems across multiple markets. Our operations require accurate, timely financial reporting and strong internal controls to support continued growth and operational excellence. We are seeking a Senior Accountant to play a key role in maintaining financial integrity, supporting month-end close, and partnering with leadership across departments. This is an in-person role based out of our Salt Lake City office. Position Summary The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting month-end close, maintaining general ledger accuracy, preparing financial reports, and assisting with audits and compliance. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who is hands-on, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Support month-end and year-end close using NetSuite and integrated financial systems Review, post, and reconcile system-generated transactions, accruals, and adjustments Maintain accuracy of the general ledger across multiple entities, jobs, and cost centers Partner with operations to ensure proper revenue recognition and job cost accounting for fire protection projects and service work Reconcile credit cards, expenses, and vendor transactions through Ramp and other integrated platforms Assist with migration from Microsoft Dynamics GP to NetSuite, including data validation, testing, and process alignment Prepare and review account reconciliations, variance analyses, and supporting schedules Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations Help strengthen accounting controls, workflows, and system efficiencies as the company grows Collaborate with leadership to improve financial visibility for field operations and project teams Why Join Us?
