Job Description The Senior Accountant will be responsible for a variety of general accounting functions, with increased responsibility for financial reporting, project accounting, and analysis. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare all necessary financial reports, journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations accurately and on a timely basis Daily cash management reports and bank reconciliations Post adjusting journal entries at month-end Preparation of monthly account and bank reconciliations Cash Management: Deposit cash and scan backup Daily cash management and bank reconciliations Additional: Support staff on special projects as needed Provide assistance with interim and year-end audits Qualifications BS/BA degree in Accounting/Finance 3-8 years of experience in accounting of similar for a major company or division of a large corporation Experience in an Architecture/Engineering or Professional Service Company is a plus Have an understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) Strong computer skills, proficiency with Excel and Word Good written and oral communication skills Detail-oriented and highly motivated, self-starter Superior organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills Prior experience with Deltek VantagePoint would be a plus Additional Information Job Type: Full-time For more information, please visit www.socotec.us All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
