Position:  Senior Accountant                                                                                                                                                             Reports To:  Chief Accounting Officer Reports To This Position: None FLSA Status: Exempt                                                    Role Summary:    Support various accounting functions within Corporate Finance, including regulatory reporting, accounts payable, and treasury. Provide support for complex accounting transactions. Provide primary or secondary support for more complex account reconciliations. Provide secondary support for external wire transfer transactions. Ensure all wires are processed in a timely manner with proper offsets to DDA and general ledger accounts.   Provide secondary support for cash ordering and transfers between branches. Additional various accounting related items.     Specific Job Functions (Duties/Responsibilities):   * Support the regulatory reporting function, including gathering data from general ledger and other sources and preparation of various schedules * Assist with preparation of monthly reports provided to board of directors and senior management * Assist with accounts payable processing * Assist with treasury and treasury-related reporting duties * Provide critical support of wire transfer function within all Bank policies and procedures, including security procedures * Support cash order process and shipments between branches, the Federal Reserve, and cash provider. * Performs other duties as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required:   * Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications * General regulatory knowledge * Strong attention to detail * Available and willing to assist for coverage during emergency events or inclement weather * Excellent organization and time management skills * Ability to work under pressure * Ability to work with limited supervision * Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing * Ability to respect confidentiality of sensitive information * Ability to maintain good customer and staff relations     Education/Experience Requirements:   * Associates degree preferred. * At least five years of practical accounting or finance experience in a financial institution is preferred.
