Description

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar capacity
  • Demonstrated Excel skills
  • Experience working in JD Edwards (or similar Enterprise software system)
  • Sage Accounting Software (used for Canada)
Responsibilities
  • Assist in cash reporting, bank transaction approvals, monthly cash reconciliations, and other treasury management as needed.
  • Handle internal processes involving reconciliation, general ledger and month-end-closings with a focus on cost of goods sold functions.
  • Responsible for preparing routine journal entries and posting financial transactions.
  • Review and reconcile inventory and inventory transactions. Report on inventory scrap transactions monthly.
  • Review leases and update IFRS 16 software monthly.
  • Review monthly absorption and material usage variances to evaluate general ledger balances.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements and perform monthly reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
  • Assist in the budgeting process by providing financial data and analysis
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
  • Assist in the financial management of the organization by monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities
  • Demonstrate strong financial acumen and understanding of accounting principles
  • Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and projections
  • Assist with various audits such as fiscal year end auditing
  • Collecting and analyzing data about company’s operational costs
  • Assist the Canadian operation with their financial functions to include receivables, journal entries, general ledger reconciliation and A/P.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
