POSITION SUMMARY

As a Senior Accountant at ETF, you will be part of dedicated team that plays a critical role in administering retirement benefits for thousands of employees and retirees across Wisconsin. You will be responsible for performing complex accounting functions for member service purchases and processing retirement additional contributions. You will get to take part in reviewing and implementing accounting processes for efficiency and effectiveness. In addition, you will serve as a resource for other team members in the Retirement Accounting Bureau, answer their questions, and provide them with guidance on accounting operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimally Qualified candidates will have experience in all the following:

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting from an accredited college or university OR experience serving in an accounting or auditing role
  • Analyzing and reconciling complex financial data
  • Preparing journal entries
  • Using Microsoft Excel for accounting purposes (e.g., calculating rates, using pivot tables, creating financial reports using advanced formulas, etc.)

Highly Qualified candidates will also have experience with some of the following:

  • Developing, documenting, and recommending accounting process or procedure improvements
  • Administering pension plans and/or performing accounting functions for pension plans
  • Using PeopleSoft Finance for accounting purposes
