Description JOB SUMMARY The Senior Accountant will be responsible for assisting the CFO with controlling the overall accounting operations of the organization, which encompasses full-cycle general ledger accounting, the production of accurate and timely financial statements and other financial reports, the maintenance of adequate accounting systems and ensuring a comprehensive set of compliant internal controls for this international enterprise. This role is also responsible with assisting the CFO with the Order to Cash process and treasury management. The Senior Accountant will lead the annual financial audit and tax return preparation process. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES General Accounting Assists the CFO in overseeing general accounting operations by controlling, recording and verifying financial transactions and ensuring compliance with GAAP Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with our established month-end close schedule Maintain and update the close calendar and distribute to the team on a monthly basis Maintain account reconciliations for all required balance sheet accounts Manage full-cycle accounting and month-end and year-end close process Lead the annual financial audit process and tax preparation Ensure the proper recordation and accrual of the payroll journal entry, including ensuring bonuses, payroll taxes, benefits etc. are properly accounted for and accrued. Ensure compliance with company’s capitalization policy Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures Lead organizer, preparer and filer of all Sales and Use Tax Filings for the various states, including working with any third-party organizations to determine nexus and setup/maintain Sales and Use Tax Accounts, Payroll Withholding Accounts and State Unemployment Accounts International Accounting Transfer Price & Inter-Company Licensing Intercompany accounting, consolidation, and Fx Reporting VAT Reporting & Foreign Tax Compliance UK/EU Audit Compliance with outside accounting firm Requirements JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required MBA or CPA preferred but not required Experience· Minimum 3 to 7 years’ overall professional experience in full-cycle accounting Experience in audit and tax reporting required International accounting and foreign currency reporting desired Experience in manufacturing, chemicals, industrial products, or private equity-backed environments strongly preferred Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial software application/reporting including experience and knowledge of setting up, maintaining and designing reports in ERP. Strong analytical skill with fine attention to detail, precision and accuracy. Ability and willingness to cross-train among various tasks across the Finance and Accounting functional group for contingency purposes. At our size, no role is confined to a single lane.
