As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Operate all necessary equipment and tools required in accounting operations.
  • Read and interpret financial statements, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented and a team player with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Basic understanding of accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Results-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • High energy individual, proactive, and hands-on.
  • Excellent writing and organizational skills.
  • Must possess a proficient ability to read, write, comprehend, and speak English.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of accounting or finance experience; managerial accounting experience preferred.
  • Experience in a publicly traded manufacturing company preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting, finance, and management principles.
  • CPA or CMA preferred, but relevant work experience will be considered.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, the general ledger, and taxes.
  • Implement and maintain accounting software to support AP, AR, and financial reporting.
  • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and reporting discrepancies.
  • Ensure accounting reports are accurate, timely, and compliant with GAAP and applicable financial legislation.
  • Support quarterly review and year-end audit activities, working closely with external auditors.
  • Evaluate current practices and procedures, recommending improvements for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist with quarterly and annual SEC reporting requirements as needed.
  • Develop, evaluate, and improve department controls, systems, and procedures.
  • Become proficient in enterprise resource planning software and stay current with Master Control training requirements.
  • Assist with year-end inventory audits.
  • Maintain compliance with local, state, federal, and company regulations.
  • Provide support to the Accounting Manager, Controller, and CFO on projects and other assigned duties.
