Reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing full-cycle accounting processes, preparing accurate financial statements, and supporting both routine reporting and special projects. This role requires strong technical accounting skills, experience with audits (sell- or buy-side), and a solid foundation in financial reporting under US GAAP. The Senior Accountant will work closely with the Senior Accounting Manager, external auditors, and cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all accounting processes.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA designation required.
  • 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting (audit) or industry exposure.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, with experience preparing financial statements and audit packages.
  • Experience with sell-side or buy-side audit processes (M&A or due diligence experience an asset).
  • Strong understanding of internal controls and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite, Sage, or comparable) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial information.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • High level of initiative and accountability, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
