Description

Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to support day-to-day finance operations, financial reporting, month-end closing, reconciliations, compliance, and accounting controls within a professional real estate and hospitality environment.The role requires a hands-on accounting professional who can maintain accurate financial records, support management reporting, manage key balance-sheet and general-ledger activities, and ensure finance processes are completed accurately and on time.The successful candidate should be comfortable working independently while supporting the Finance Manager and senior finance leadership across operational accounting and reporting requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral Ledger: Manage general ledger accounting and ensure accurate and timely posting of financial transactions.
Financial Closing: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing schedules and supporting documentation.
Account Reconciliations: Perform bank, balance-sheet, intercompany, supplier, and customer account reconciliations.
Management Reporting: Prepare management reports, financial schedules, variance analysis, and supporting commentary.
Receivables Payables: Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities and monitor outstanding balances.
Budgeting Forecasting: Support budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow monitoring, and financial planning activities.
Financial Controls: Maintain accurate fixed-asset registers, accruals, prepayments, provisions, and journal entries.
VAT Compliance: Support UAE VAT preparation, financial compliance, audits, and statutory reporting requirements.
Process Improvement: Assist with improving accounting processes, internal controls, reporting workflows, and finance systems.
Stakeholder Support: Work closely with the Finance Manager, operational departments, auditors, suppliers, banks, and other stakeholders.
