Our team is passionate about patient care and operates with integrity and professionalism. We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance department and support daily accounting operations.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing a variety of accounting tasks to support accurate financial reporting. This includes general ledger maintenance, balance sheet reconciliation, journal entries, and assisting with month-end and year-end close processes. This is an individual contributor role and does not include supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3+ years of professional accounting experience, preferably in healthcare or a similar industry
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities
  • Maintain general ledger and prepare journal entries
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and bank statements
  • Assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Ensure accurate allocation of revenue and expenses across hospital business departments
  • Track and report on accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other financial metrics
  • Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation
