As Senior Accountant, you’ll assist the Director of Finance oversee all accounting and general ledger functions at the hotel, supervising purchasing and receiving staff and ensuring alignment between operations and financial strategy. Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Oversee accounting records, reconciliations, and financial closings
  • Lead Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Receiving
  • Manage cash handling, deposits, audits, and reconciliations
  • Support group billing, commissions, and billback processes
  • Ensure accuracy in daily reporting and partner with operations on productivity
  • Maintain compliance with Hyatt’s global policies and procedures
  • Assist with financial analysis and special projects
  • Promote financial literacy across hotel departments

This is a non-exempt (hourly) role. The budgeted salary range for this position is $60,100 to $87,000. $72,800 is the annual salary for this position that Thompson Palm Springs reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors including experience and education.

  • Degree in Accounting preferred, and/or
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience (hotel accounting experience a plus)
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and financial systems (Opera [highly preferred], PMS, MICROS, ADP, Dimensions)
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Proactive, independent, and adaptable mindset
  • High attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a dynamic environment
