Description The Sr. Accountant will play a key role in overseeing Tiger Solar Company’s core accounting operations. Primary responsibilities include overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger reconciliations, while ensuring timely and accurate month-end close and financial statement preparation. This role will also support project accounting, compliance requirements, and business licensing across company locations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities · Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies · Support the project accounting process, including job costing and WIP analysis · Assist with the month-end close process and preparation of internal financial statements · Maintain daily cash report and routinely reconcile bank account · Provide monthly cash flow forecasts · Manage the company bank card program, which is used for general procurement as well as travel and expenses · Manage the company fuel card program, including issuing new cards, monitoring usage, and ensuring compliance with company policies · Maintain corporate business licenses across all branch locations, including renewals and filings. · Prepare, report, and file monthly sales tax and/or consumer use tax reporting to all jurisdictions · Supervise and support accounting staff as assigned · Promote the “Tiger Way” and our cycle of success by building high quality relationships with employees, customers, and outside vendors · Perform other duties as required an assigned Requirements · Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, with 3–5 years of accounting experience required. · Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) · CPA or CMA designation (or active progress toward completion) preferred · Practical understanding of cost accounting principles, job costing, and percent complete revenue recognition. · Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial management. · Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel is required. · Ability to synthesize complex or diverse information; collects and researches data; uses intuition and experience to complement data; designs workflows and procedures. · Exhibits confidence in self and others; inspires and motivates others to perform well; effectively influences actions and opinions of others; accepts feedback from others; gives appropriate recognition to others. · Passionate about quality work and delivering best-in-class “Tiger Way” customer service support. · Able to learn new technologies, quickly becoming the expert of a rapidly evolving set of technology needs.
