Description Senior Accountant The Senior Accountant plays a key role in the organization’s accounting and financial reporting functions. This position works closely with the Assistant Controller to ensure accurate and timely financial close processes, compliance with accounting standards, and strong internal controls. The Senior Accountant will also support audit and compliance requirements and contribute to process improvements and system implementations. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Assistant Controller in managing the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes. Prepare and review month-end journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for corporate departments and other business units. Prepare consolidated financial statements, internal management reports, and external compliance reporting. Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations with timely resolution of variances. Assist in the coordination and support of annual external audits, including document preparation and communication with auditors. Support with accounts receivable functions. Review and approve accounts payable entries. Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field. 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience. Experience with trust accounting, disbursements, or treasury functions preferred. Strong analytical skills with the ability to prepare accurate and detailed financial reports. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments. Proficiency in Excel required.
