Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Arlington, VA (Onsite)
Compensation: $95K–$100K + 10% Bonus
Required Experience: Real Estate, Construction, or Multi-Entity Environments
We are partnered with a private real estate, construction, and asset management firm seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing finance team. This role blends hands-on accounting with higher-level strategic support, providing broad exposure across multiple entities in a dynamic environment. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Controller and play a key role in financial reporting, operations, and process improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally in real estate, construction, or multi-entity environments.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and experience with month-end close.
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite; ERP/accounting software experience required (Timberline preferred).
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive in both collaborative and independent settings.

• Maintain accurate general ledger records across multiple entities in compliance with GAAP.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Lead audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors.
• Manage month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and revenue review.
• Develop and enhance accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis.
• Oversee billing and revenue recognition processes.
