OVERVIEW

We’re seeking an experienced finance and accounting professional to join our CPA firm as a Senior Accountant. This role is critical in managing multiple client relationships while ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial services. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing hands-on transaction work with higher-level analysis, process improvements, and client advisory responsibilities..

QUALIFICATIONS

  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification is required.
  • 5-7 years of accounting experience, with a focus on managing multiple client accounts.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (U.S. GAAP).
  • Demonstrated experience in an operational accounting role with proficiency in areas such as journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and cash posting.
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to anticipate and meet the needs of both internal and external customers.
  • Delivers high-quality service; is committed to continuous improvement.
  • Proven ability and willingness to identify, recommend, and implement process improvements is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

Full-Cycle Accounting

  • Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple clients.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, including prepaids, fixed assets, amortization/dep schedules, and recurring accruals.
  • Conduct transaction work, including processing invoices, payments, and other financial transactions.
  • Perform account reconciliations, roll-forwards, and lease accounting under U.S. GAAP.
  • Assist with audits, tax compliance, and ad hoc projects as needed.
  • Execute disciplined month-end closes across multiple transaction classes.

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP and tax basis.
  • Support year-end close and external audits with schedules and documentation.

Client Management

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations for multiple clients.
  • Address client queries with professionalism and timely solutions.
  • Build long-term relationships through reliable, high-quality service.

Process Improvement

  • Streamline accounting processes and strengthen internal controls.
  • Explore automation opportunities to accelerate the close process and improve reporting.
  • Lead special projects and continuous-improvement initiatives.
