Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our accounting team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting by leading general ledger activities, performing complex reconciliations, and supporting the month-end close process. The Senior Accountant will take ownership of key balance sheet accounts, assist in process improvements, and serve as a resource to other team members. This position requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, review and post journal entries with a high degree of accuracy Own and complete monthly general ledger account reconciliations, including complex and high value accounts. Perform and review balance sheet and bank reconciliations; investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly. Support month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely reporting Maintain accurate, well-organized, audit-ready financial records Assist in the preparation of financial statements, internal reports, and supporting schedules. Partner with the Controller on variance analysis and financial insights. Support internal and external audits, including preparation of schedules and documentation Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and strengthen internal controls Requirements Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field Minimum four (4) years of progressive accounting experience Strong experience with balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close Thorough understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting or ERP systems Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities High Attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational and time management skills Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams Work Environment In-office position located at our administration building in Woodway, TX Reports directly to the Controller Collaborative, team-oriented accounting environment supporting multi-location operations What Success Looks Like Consistently accurate and timely completion of month-end close responsibilities Clean, fully supported balance sheet reconciliations with no aging discrepancies Strong ownership of assigned accounts and financial processes Proactive identification and resolution of issues Meaningful contributions to process improvements and team effective Trusted resource for the Controller and broader accounting team
