POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Accountant plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. This role will support the monthly and year-end close processes, prepare journal entries and account reconciliations, and contribute to financial statement preparation and analysis. The Senior Accountant will also help assess internal controls and support budgetary functions across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reconcile sub-ledger balances to general ledger accounts
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Create and post journal entries and prepare account reconciliations
  • Perform internal control assessments, including risk evaluations and documentation reviews
  • Support the evaluation and improvement of financial policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of progressive experience in accounting roles
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and standard accounting practices
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA or CMA certification
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Background in a multi-entity or high-growth environment
