Description POSITION SUMMARY Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant leads the general ledger accounting and month-end close and consolidation processes in a fast-paced and global corporate environment. Key accountabilities included preparing journal entries, reconciling monthly banking activity, fixed asset accounting, balance sheet reconciliations and audit support. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS · Execute the month-end close and consolidation process accurately and in compliance with reporting schedules · Calculation, documentation, and recording of journal entries related to all aspects of the business · Prepare monthly reconciliations of bank statements · Maintain monthly reconciliation workbook for balance sheet accounts · Support internal and external audits to meet schedules · Support AP, AR, Tax, and Revenue functions with accurate accounting support · Support and mentor staff accountants · Drive the continuous improvement and utilization of existing financial systems and accounting processes · Perform complex accounting analysis for non-routine transactions and account reconciliations KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES · Strong analytical and organizational skills · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and balance multiple priorities · Thorough understanding of US GAAP and ability to apply accounting principles in a fast-paced environment Requirements REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE · Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field from an accredited university · CPA strongly preferred · +4 years in full-cycle corporate accounting or public accounting audit experience with progressive responsibility · Proven experience thriving in a changing and dynamic environment · Experience using Microsoft suite of products and commercial ERP systems PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS · Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time · Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
