POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented, and skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance, along with a proactive mindset and a passion for excellence. This role will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, optimizing financial processes, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ year experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, etc.).

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Progressive accounting experience, ideally in both public and private sectors.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in the SaaS industry.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems or advanced Excel skills.
  • Exposure to compliance or audit processes.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & COMPENSATION

Veoci offers remote work flexibility, with this role being required to work on campus four - five days per week with the potential option to work off site on Fridays.
The wage range for this role is $60,000 - $110,000 plus benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Oversee general ledger maintenance and ensure accuracy across all accounts.
  • Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns; ensure compliance with all tax regulations.
  • Support audits (internal and external) by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Assist with internal and external financial audits
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices in financial operations.
  • Stay up to date with changes in tax laws, accounting standards, and financial regulations.
  • Mentor junior accounting staff and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
