Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

XOS is an innovator in elemental analysis instrumentation and is part of Veralto Corporation. The position of Senior Accountant is an integral part of the Finance team that interacts with all levels of associates at XOS, as well as external stakeholders. Being a member of this team requires dedication and a commitment to continuous improvement. This team, and position, is responsible for maintaining and upgrading the company’s financial systems, account reconciliations, month-end close, auditing, internal control compliance, analytical review & cost analysis and more.
This position reports to the Controller and is on-site in East Greenbush.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL BE:

  • Key responsibilities include maintaining financial reporting processes, ensuring timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and year-end close requirements, performing reconciliations and variance analysis, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. The role also involves managing inventory processes, developing new procedures, learning Veralto VES tools, assisting with tax reporting, leading the balance sheet review process, and participating in the annual physical inventory.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting process for XOS to meet corporate recording and reporting requirements.
  • Together with the finance team ensure the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close requirements are completed on time and with high integrity.
  • Perform various mid-month and end-of-month processes, including reconciliations and variance analysis.
  • Contribute at the daily meeting on all finance operating metric reporting
  • Work with leaders across XOS to budget and forecast activities to ensure all data is collected and accurately reported to Controller and President.
  • Partner with Director of Operations to manage inventory processes
  • Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department
  • Learn Veralto VES tools and propose workflow process improvements
  • Assist with Corporate and State Tax reporting
  • Lead the Balance Sheet review process
  • Actively participate in the annual full physical inventory
  • Collaborate with the Controller on special projects
  • Provide guidance to accounting staff associates as needed
