REQUIRED SKILLS

  • BS Degree in Accounting or Finance, prefer at least 6 years experience.
  • Proven working experience as a Senior Accountant / Senior Financial or Project Analyst.
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook), and with accounting software, QuickBooks preferred.
  • Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently, or as part of a team.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy; critical thinking and strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Able to set and achieve goals; persistent to overcome obstacles; measures self against standard of excellence.
  • Strong problem solving, strategic, and analytical skills; ability to be innovative and creative in problem solving with a focus on achieving results; quick learner.
  • Interpersonal/Communication Skills/Writing Skills - Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully (written and oral) with customers and stakeholders as well as fellow team members; is objective and open to other views; welcomes feedback.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES – JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Accountant oversees and assists with various accounting functions including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue and asset accounting, as well as associated analysis and reporting. The Senior Accountant also evaluates and makes improvements to accounting processes while ensuring that practices comply with organization accounting policies and applicable laws and regulations.
