This is a full-time, 100% in-office role based in our Vancouver headquarters.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Accountant will oversee VoPay’s full-cycle accounting functions across our entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and timely month-end close. This role combines technical accounting expertise with operational problem-solving and process improvement, working closely with the CFO to support strategic decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Canadian CPA designation (completed or in final stages) is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in fintech, SaaS, or high-growth companies.
  • Solid knowledge of Canadian GAAP and payroll compliance.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (NetSuite experience is an asset), Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.), and cloud-based workflow tools.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, in-office team environment.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes for all entities.
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses.
  • Consolidate multi-entity financials and ensure compliance with Canadian GAAP.
  • Prepare management reports, financial statements, and analysis for the CFO.
