Description Position Overview: The Senior Accountant will be primarily responsible for managing the Accounts Payable (A/P) function while providing support for the monthly close process. This role ensures accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, compliance with company policies, and proper expense coding. Additionally, the Senior Accountant will assist with reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting to support the finance team in delivering reliable financial statements. Key Responsibilities: Accounts Payable Management Oversee the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice review, coding, approvals, and payments. Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with company policies and IRS reporting requirements (e.g., 1099s). Monitor aging reports, research variances, and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal departments. Employ controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Month-End Close Support Prepare journal entries related to A/P, accruals, and other assigned areas. Reconcile accounts payable subledger to the general ledger. Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and expense analysis. Support the accounting team in preparing month-end reports for management review. Other Duties Collaborate with cross-functional teams (procurement, quality, receiving) to resolve accounting issues. Contribute to process improvements and system implementations as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 3–5+ years accounting experience, with a strong focus on accounts payable and general ledger. Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and accrual-based accounting. Experience with ERP/accounting systems Proficient in Microsoft Excel Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
