As a Senior Accountant your main responsibility will be the preparation of Financial Statements, Tax Returns, Assurance engagements, and Auditing Financial Statements of clients.

EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

  • CPA designation or in pursuit of designation will be an asset
  • Degree in Accounting
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in public accounting
  • Experience working with accounting and tax software such as CaseWare, Quickbooks, Sage/Simply Accounting, TaxPrep, Excel
  • Strong financial accounting skills
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship building skills and professionalism
  • Strong commitment to continuous learning
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task competing priorities

  • Preparation of financial statements and tax returns in accordance with Partnership standards for clients in a variety of businesses and not-for-profit enterprises
  • Leading teams on a variety of assurance engagements
  • Auditing financial statements of business clients
  • Effective communication with our clients, government agencies and with our partners and team
  • Keeping partners, managers and other team members informed, on an ongoing basis, of progress and significant issues
  • Participate in other leadership activities both internally and externally (i.e. Performance Review Process, recruitment, advocating positive team morale, etc.)
