Description

ZGF is seeking a Senior Accountant for our Portland office who will play a key role in core general ledger accounting. The ideal candidate will eagerly participate in the implementation of a new ERP system and process enhancements. As a Senior Accountant you will…

  • Craft precise journal entries and keep meticulous documentation
  • Tackle complex reconciliations and dive deep into general ledger accounts
  • Ensure compliance with quarterly bank covenant reporting
  • Support month-end and year-end accounting close processes
  • Prepare comprehensive financial statements and management reports
  • Manage intercompany account reconciliations and international reporting
  • Maintain thorough records, prepare tax work papers, and handle tax filings
  • Identify and implement process improvements, providing valuable accounting insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project accounting on project monthly results reporting
  • Support transition to upgraded financial system

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance
  • 3+ years of accounting experience
  • Working knowledge of tax laws and GAAP
  • Exceptional analytical and proactive problem-solving skills
  • High quality work output
  • Organized and efficient in managing multiple projects and deadlines
  • Strong sense of ownership, initiative, and self-management
  • Proven ability to work independently and drive projects to completion
  • Eager to learn and adapt to changes in the field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and quick to learn new tools
  • CPA with public accounting experience preferred
  • Experience with Deltek financial management software highly desirable
