The Role This role combines financial analysis and accounting partnership across APAC markets including New Zealand, Malaysia, Japan and Korea. You will ensure strong financial control while delivering valuable insights to support commercial decision making and business performance. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Reporting Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance Conduct quarterly FCCS reviews, with a focus on intercompany transactions Perform detailed variance analysis against prior periods and resolve accounting discrepancies Complete monthly balance sheet reviews and implement action plans to address issues Oversee intercompany reconciliations, ensuring alignment with counterparties Manage cash flow, banking activities, and financial controls Audit, Compliance & Governance Lead external audit processes across New Zealand and regional entities, including Malaysia Review financial data provided by shared services before submission to auditors Act as the primary contact for audit queries, sample requests, and supporting documentation Support internal audit activities and ensure adherence to compliance requirements Manage transfer pricing documentation and contribute to audit note disclosures Tax & Regulatory Reporting Oversee tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions (including WHT, VAT/SST, corporate, and payroll taxes) Support government tax audits and liaise with external advisors on tax-related matters Prepare tax provisions, true-ups, and journal entries in line with regulatory requirements Financial Analysis & Business Partnering Provide financial information and reporting to global stakeholders, including US reporting requirements Investigate data issues impacting financial performance and support resolution through cross-functional collaboration Partner with business units and shared service teams to improve financial data quality and processes Support decision-making through financial insights, analysis, and performance review Operational & Process Management Review and approve audit and tax-related fee payments across APAC entities Support journal entries and financial postings across multiple regions (NZ, Malaysia, Japan, Korea) Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes and data governance Requirements Qualified Accountant (CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent) Minimum 2 years experience in accounting, audit or multinational organisations Strong analytical and data-driven mindset Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability Experience partnering with global stakeholders in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly Why Join Us?
