Description The Senior Accounting Analyst will support and lead key accounting functions across corporate entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and efficient accounting operations. This role is responsible for full-cycle general ledger accounting, month-end close activities, reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, billing and accounts payable oversight, audit support, and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in managing complex accounting transactions within a fast-paced environment. Requirements Lead month-end close: prepare and record complex journal entries (depreciation, amortization, lease accounting ASC 842, fixed assets ASC 360, billing accruals/deferrals), ensure timely, accurate GL posting. Manage reconciliations: perform bank, balance sheet, revenue, and sub-ledger reconciliations; investigate and resolve variances promptly. Oversee capitalized projects and fixed-asset accounting: track project costs, analyze allocations into service, ensure correct classification and policy compliance. Own billing & AP processes: manage end-to-end billing (invoice accuracy, revenue recognition ASC 606, reconciliations), prepare billing journal entries, review/approve AP coding and payments in NetSuite/Company Bank accounts. Support audits & compliance: prepare schedules and documentation for internal and external audits, maintain knowledge and application of relevant accounting standards and internal controls. Drive process improvement and automation: identify, implement, and monitor efficiencies to strengthen controls, reduce manual effort, and improve accuracy. Prepare accounting policies for internal and external dissemination. Record GL entries for Tax equity partnerships acquisition and sell of projects between Seller entities and partnerships. Rollover workpapers for support in external audits and external financial reporting obligations. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and demonstrated application in month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting. CPA license is preferred. Experience in the energy sector and/or Joint Venture accounting. Prior Big 4 public accounting experience preferred. Hands-on experience with lease, fixed-asset, and revenue accounting (e.g., ASC 842, ASC 360, ASC 606). Proficiency with NetSuite preferred but not required; strong ERP and Excel skills required. Excellent analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills; able to drive process improvements and maintain strong internal controls.
