IN SUMMARY, THE SENIOR ACCOUNTING ANALYST WILL:

• Have for responsibility for analyzing and interpreting complex financial data, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations, and supporting the financial decision-making process.
• Provide ad-hoc analysis and review of specific accounting or financial information and report on the results.

THE “MUST-HAVE” SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS THAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR ARE:

• Demonstrated knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while guiding and supporting team members.
• The ability to present financial data and analysis in a clear and concise manner.
• Solid understanding risk assessment methodologies and risk mitigation strategies to safeguard the credit union’s assets and reputation.
• Experience facilitating internal and external audits.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to multitask while effectively prioritizing.
• An undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance.
• A CPA designation in good standing.
• A minimum of five (5) years of public accounting and/or private industry experience with knowledge of tax compliance.
• High degree of personal integrity, ethics and professionalism.
