You will perform general bookkeeping duties, such as updating posts in the accounting software, reconciling accounts on a regular basis, and recording all cash receipts and disbursements. Payroll and final pay computation is also expected. You will function as part of the company’s Finance team. Your main priority is to maintain an organized and streamlined accounting system. You are also expected to provide additional support to management during audits or other busy seasons. WHAT WILL YOU DO Accounting Maintaining bookkeeping databases and spreadsheets, updating information as needed Creating reports and balance sheets that document overall profits and losses Analyze financial data and ensure compliance Continuous evaluation of current policies and recommendations for process improvements Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner Provide support for internal and external audits Investigating and resolving any irregularities or inquiries Assisting in general financial management and analysis Execute a variety of financial procedures, including Month-end and year-end closings Cash flow reports Monthly financial and management reports Payroll Conduct internal audits against standards and maintain internal records End-of-year processing and reconciliation including payment summaries Prepare global payroll reports necessary for internal reporting Administration Administrative services in order to ensure effective and efficient support to operations Coordination efforts between payroll, human resources, finance, and other departments to ensure proper flow of operations Prepare, maintain, and organize check vouchers Organize and safe keep all financial documents Answer ticket in our helpdesk system In addition, other clerical and administrative duties as required are to be expected. Able to adapt to change and learn quickly YOU HAVE… At a minimum, an associate's degree in Accounting or a related field 1-2 years of experience with AP, payroll, and general accounting Strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure Excellent problem-solving/judgment skills, and a high level of attention to detail and accuracy Ability to quickly learn and navigate new technology, systems, and applications Knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles Expert project management and organizational skills Basic knowledge of cloud-based applications (Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs) and MS Office applications Advanced computer skills and proficiency with financial management software such as Xero and Quickbooks Basic experience with payroll systems Cultural awareness and sensitivity Ability to understand and communicate complex accounting ideas to non-accountants, both verbally and in written form
