Description

The Sr. Accounting Manager is responsible for tracking, monitoring and evaluating day to day accounting tasks and activities. Additionally, establish and develop systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting financial information. Sr. Accounting Manager will work closely with both internal Departments and external parties to ensure timely processing of complex payable transactions and general ledger transactions.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, proficient level skills in Outlook and Word.
· Ability to research and solve problems. Self-motivated and proactive solution seeker.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
· 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a portion of that being in a supervisory role
· Thorough knowledge of GAAP
· Complete or comprehensive understanding of accounting practices and procedures

Responsibilities

· Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including but not limited to; accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll and taxes.
· Lead the process of weekly check runs to ensure timely payments to Vendors and provision of all applicable supporting documentation and compliance requirements (Lien releases, certified payroll, insurance, etc.).
· Required communication with Vendors to resolve invoice and payment discrepancies.
· Monthly Inter-company billings and reconciliation of Inter-company transactions. Review of Inter-company payable batches and contract billing entries.
· Equipment usage review and analysis of Owned and Rental Equipment Accounts Payable posted the the general ledger. Perform monthly reconciliation for all equipment to include cost and revenue adjustments as needed.
· Prepare and amortize prepaid assets and accrued liabilities schedules for posting to General Ledger.
· Setup, maintain and reconcile debt schedules and coordinate timely loan payments, processing and recording.
· Prepare and post other journal entries and assist in other accounting department functions
· Assist with monthly, quarterly and year-end financial audit activities.
· Assess current practices and procedures and make recommendations for improvements.
· Prepare, review and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
· Reconcile all escrow accounts.
· Perform routine journal entries.
· Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
· Other duties as assigned.
