Our client, a growing and dynamic organization in the retail sector, is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to lead their accounting function. This role offers the opportunity to oversee a talented team, ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, and play a key part in driving process improvements within a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

CPA designation required
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years in a management role
Strong knowledge of accounting standards (ASPE/IFRS) and internal controls
Previous experience in the retail industry or other multi-location, inventory-heavy environments preferred
Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate a team
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Advanced Excel skills; ERP system experience considered an asset

Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
Oversee financial reporting, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering growth and development
