Description

A well-established multi-disciplinary professional services firm offering corporate, accounting, taxation, and investment advisory solutions is seeking a Senior Accounting Officer to strengthen their growing team. In this role, you will oversee a portfolio of clients, manage accounting operations, and ensure the preparation of accurate financial statements in line with applicable standards. You will also mentor junior staff and act as a key point of contact for clients on accounting and reporting matters. Salary: €31-41K Key Responsibilities Prepare and review management accounts and financial statements for multiple entities Ensure all accounting records comply with IFRS and local statutory requirements Oversee reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries Prepare VAT returns, tax computations, and assist in regulatory filings Coordinate and liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and other external parties Contribute to process improvements and ensure internal controls are followed Provide financial insights and advice to clients where needed Education, Skills and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or ACCA qualification (or at an advanced stage of completion) Minimum 3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably within a professional services environment Excellent knowledge of IFRS and Maltese accounting regulations Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment About the Role Salary of €31-41K Office-based with flexible working hours Study leave provided Opportunities for career growth and professional development Work with a variety of industries and international clients Apply with your detailed CV, please. *JobMatchingPartner Limited is a recruitment agency licenced in Malta, EU with licence no EA00340-2024.
