Job Title SENIOR ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST.Job Family Function CFOJob Code 30008735Reports to Job Chief Financial OfficerJob Description Summary The Senior Accounting Specialist provides functional expertise in the Monthly Financial Accounting and Closing activities and oversees greater parts of the general accounting operations to ensure fair presentation of financial statements in all materials respects, and in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) endorsed in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and other standards and pronouncements issued by the Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants (SOCPA). It also assist in analyzing and interpreting tax laws and regulations and collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with Saudi Tax Laws, responding to tax inquiries and assisting in financial and tax audits.Strategic Roles & Responsibilities % 20Strategic Roles & Responsibilities Assist in the resolution of critical finance and accounting issues with the Shareholders affiliates and auditorsSupports in providing expert guidance on specific accounting related matters in reference to IFRS and other standards issued by SOCPASupports in the interpretation of documents including the jointventure Agreement JVA service agreements and other transaction documents signed by the shareholdersOperational Roles & Responsibilities % 80Operational Roles & Responsibilities Finalize the draft periodical financial statements and actively participate in the JHAH financial statement closing process as assigned to ensure timely and accurate accounting management and statutory reportingMaintain the General and Subsidiary Ledgers to measure and record JHAHs assets liabilities revenues costs and expendituresPrepare or update JHAHs financial policies and procedures based on best practices applicable to the healthcare industrySupport external and internal audit teams during their regular Review of JHAH operations that involve financialrelated compliance andor governanceParticipate in adhoc JHAH project teams and activities which includes but not limited to operational controls business related expansion and planningfeasibility etc to achieve given targetsMinimum Education Required Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalentProfessional Certifications Required CPA, CA, ACCA, CIA or equivalent certificationYears of Experience Minimum 12 years' experience (ideally in the Healthcare industry preferred)Languages English:Fully Proficient ; Arabic:Not RequiredFunctional Competencies Due DiligenceAudit ReportingData CollectionCore Competencies ExcellenceIntegrityAccountabilityCybersecurityPerson-Centered CareAcknowledgement Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
