POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Senior Accounting Specialist, you’ll be a critical member of our business office team, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance that keeps our dealership running efficiently. In this role, you’ll apply your knowledge of GAAP and dealership accounting practices to manage the general ledger, payroll, sales tax filings, and commission calculations. You’ll also support accounts payable/receivable, reconcile schedules, and monitor lender funding to support healthy cash flow.

Pay Range: $22.00 – $27.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of professional accounting experience
  • Associate’s degree in accounting or related field (required); equivalent experience may be considered
  • Experience with general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and tax compliance
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel required
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background check
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts in compliance with GAAP
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor payments, reconciliations, and collections
  • Prepare and submit monthly sales tax filings and ensure compliance with state and local regulations
  • Support payroll processing and maintain accurate payroll records
  • Calculate and process employee commissions and bonuses accurately and on schedule
  • Reconcile aftermarket vendor schedules and submit timely payments
  • Assist with bank reconciliations, inventory records, and balance sheet schedules
  • Partner with the Title & Billing team to review deal documentation and ensure compliance
  • Monitor lender funding to ensure timely cash flow
