Description Position Overview: Under direction, performs a variety of professional-level accounting duties involved in preparing, maintaining, analyzing, verifying, and reconciling financial transactions, statements, records, and reports; prepares month-end close process and provides high responsible staff assistance to the Vice President, Accounting and Finance Department. Due to the highly sensitive nature of the information involved, this position demands strict adherence to confidentiality protocols. You will be expected to maintain ethical handling and secure storage of data, aligned with company standards and legal compliance requirements. You will be expected to exercise the highest levels of discretion, integrity, and judgment in all tasks. Essential Job Functions: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with company policy and GAAP. Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable and payroll posting. Analyze intercompany transactions and balances, reconciling discrepancies and resolving any issues to ensure proper elimination of intercompany accounts during consolidation. Prepare journal entries to record accruals for both payables and receivables with timeliness and accuracy. Communicate (both in verbal and written form) with employees, client suppliers, vendors, banking contacts, etc. Assist in annual financial statements audits. Assist in preparing monthly/quarterly lenders and Board financial packages. Identify process improvements and assist in the implementation of such improvements. Manage weekly disbursement processes within established company protocol Perform other related tasks as required. Requirements Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor degree in finance or accounting required. Minimum of 5 years of responsible accounting experience, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and financial reports. (healthcare a plus, but not required) Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and financial reporting requirements. Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism. Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment. Strong sense of ownership and pride in work product and a commitment to continuous process improvement. Possess advanced computer and technology skills. Experience with QuickBooks. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing, in English. Must be able to keep client matters strictly confidential.
Responsibilities
