OVERVIEW

Our client located in Dorval is focused on accelerating the growth of the company and is looking to hire an accounting technician. Success in this role requires to be hands-on, attention to detail and a solutions-driven mindset. This also requires a positive attitude, curiosity and the willingness to learn. The ideal candidate will possess a strong transactional and accounting background, preferably with experience in manufacturing, industrial environments, and aerospace/MRO sectors. The accounting technician will partner closely with finance and other business stakeholders and play a key role in system implementations and process improvements.

SKILLS

  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, Workday, PeopleSoft, and Kronos.
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.
  • Experience with payroll systems including ADP, Ceridian, or UltiPro.
  • Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail for accurate account analysis.
  • Solid math skills for budgeting and financial calculations.
  • Ability to perform account reconciliation effectively.
  • Knowledge of financial services industry standards and practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data accurately.

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
  • Perform payroll processing using systems such as ADP, Ceridian, or UltiPro.
  • Conduct account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data.
  • Utilize accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, Workday, or PeopleSoft for data entry and financial reporting.
  • Assist in budget preparation and financial analysis to support departmental goals.
  • Maintain organized records of all financial transactions and documentation.
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
  • Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
