RHEA continues to grow, and we are looking to add a Senior Accounting Technician to the team.
We are looking for a Senior Accounting Technician with a minimum of 10 years of experience to manage the entire accounting cycle. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll. They will also be responsible for bank reconciliations, government remittances, and will actively participate in the implementation of a new ERP system.
This is a hybrid position, operating out of RHEA’s offices in Ottawa, and reports to the Financial Controller.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

The following education and credentials are mandatory:

  • College diploma in accounting (or equivalent experience)
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting, including managing the full accounting cycle.
  • ERP implementation experience is a plus.
  • Excellent proficiency with accounting software and Excel.
  • Bilingual in English and French.
  • Be willing to apply for a Government of Canada security clearance
  • Experience with either Odoo or Unit 4 is a bonus.
Responsibilities

The scope of work will include:

  • Handle client billing and manage accounts receivable.
  • Record supplier invoices and prepare payments.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and ensure all accounting entries are accurate.
  • Work closely with project managers to ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
  • Participate in the implementation and optimization of our new ERP system.
  • Identify and suggest improvements to accounting processes to enhance efficiency.
