SENIOR ACCOUNTS CLERK – SHEFFIELD

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Accounts Clerk to join a highly successful, family-run business operating within the Plant Hire and Engineering sector, based in Sheffield.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

As the Senior Accounts Clerk, you will take ownership of the company’s finance operations. Working closely with the Managing Director and external accountants, your main responsibility will be to ensure the smooth and accurate management of all financial processes. This includes overseeing timely invoicing, managing cash flow, and addressing any discrepancies efficiently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Processing sales invoices and managing customer receipts in QuickBooks
  • Management Accounts
  • Reconciling RBS Invoice Finance
  • Handling bank payments and supplier payments
  • Raising payments via Bankline for authorisation
  • Managing cash flow and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting
  • Handling purchase invoices and credit control
  • Issuing credit notes when required
