Location: Mount Waverley VIC (Hybrid, 2 days in office post-probation)  Reports to: National Accounts Receivable Manager  About the Role  We are seeking a hands-on, people-focused Senior Accounts Receivable Team Leader to act as 2IC to the National Accounts Receivable Manager.  This is a role for someone who enjoys leading from the front, working closely with their team, and getting into the detail when needed. You will lead a multi-team Insurance and Government AR function, keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly while building a supported, capable, high-performing team.  You will partner closely with the National AR Manager on operational priorities and improvement initiatives, helping shape how the function works while staying close enough to understand what is happening on the ground.  The role contributes directly to financial outcomes, including reducing overdue debt and supporting strong cash flow, while also focusing on developing your people and improving how the team works together.  What You Will Do  Lead and Support Your Team  * Lead, coach, and support a team of 8 across Insurance and Government AR   * Be present and engaged, stepping in to help solve problems and unblock work   * Build a culture of accountability that feels supported and fair   * Develop your team through regular coaching, feedback, and performance conversations   Run Day-to-Day Operations  * Oversee AR activity across multiple ledgers to ensure accuracy and timeliness   * Stay close to workflows so issues are identified and resolved early   * Work alongside the team during busy or complex periods   * Balance workloads and priorities to support strong performance   Improve How We Work  * Identify practical improvements to processes and workflows   * Support automation and system improvements that make work easier for the team   * Use data and insight to guide better decisions   Partner Across the Business  * Work with internal teams across billing, finance, clinics, and leadership   * Manage escalations and resolve issues in a calm, solutions-focused way   * Maintain strong relationships with external bodies including Medicare, health funds, insurers, and government agencies   * Step into the National AR Manager role when required   Deliver Outcomes  * Ensure AR activities are accurate, timely, and compliant   * Support reduction of overdue debt and improved cash flow outcomes   * Balance operational performance with a strong focus on people   What We Are Looking For  * A strong, hands-on people leader who enjoys working closely with their team   * Experience in accounts receivable, finance, revenue cycle, or similar environments   * A leadership style that is present, supportive, and practical   * Ability to coach, develop, and lift team performance   * Experience improving processes and ways of working   * Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills   * Comfortable working with data, systems, and operational detail   * Calm and solutions-focused in a busy environment   Why Join Us  This is a genuine leadership role where you will have real impact on both people and performance.  You will be supported by a strong National Accounts Receivable Manager, while having real ownership of your function and the freedom to lead your team in a meaningful way.  If you enjoy being close to your people, solving problems together, and building a team that performs because it is supported, this role will suit you well.   About Us I-MED Radiology Network is Australia and New Zealand’s largest diagnostic imaging network, offering medical imaging and radiology services including x-ray, PET, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Mammography and interventional procedures.
