ClearView is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our Actuarial team. In this role, you will primarily support the team with experience investigations and regulatory reporting for ClearView’s life insurance business. While the main focus will be on experience investigations, the role may also involve supporting other actuarial functions across the business.

QUALIFICATIONS, ATTRIBUTES AND/OR SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Completed or exempted Foundational and Actuary level subjects via the Institute of Actuaries of Australia.
  • 4+ years of actuarial experience in life insurance, with a strong focus on experience analysis (preferred).
  • Currently studying for Fellowship Actuarial exams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written).
  • A dynamic individual with an aptitude for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Strong actuarial judgement and critical thinking skills.
  • Advanced SQL programming skills.
  • Experience with Python and Power BI.
Responsibilities
  • Support the statutory responsibilities of the Appointed Actuary, including preparing assumption setting reports, completing the annual Financial Condition Report and Actuarial Valuation Report, and handling LRS 750 and CALI data submissions.
  • Lead the completion of annual experience investigations and other data submissions.
  • Take ownership of the development and continuous improvement of experience investigation models.
  • Compile and report on regular dashboard and experience packs, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of data.
