Our client, Aspen, is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join their Insurance Reserving team in London. As a Senior Actuarial Analyst at Aspen, you will assist with the delivery of the Actuarial Reserving Team’s objectives, managing and providing direction to more junior staff members. Your collaborative skills will be put to use as you work with peers within the global actuarial function and other relevant business areas. Your expertise will be crucial in delivering solutions to complex technical challenges through research and development of financial services industry best practice and actuarial analysis.

  • Have lines of business that you will own, manage reserving and having oversight of whole reserving process
  • Providing feedback into reserving process and managing part of process
  • Support the quarterly reserving exercise
  • Develop an understanding of relevant data source and systems
  • Complete quarterly reserving exercise for assigned lines of busines

Your proven ability to apply industry and marketplace knowledge in shaping actuarial and underwriting strategy will be invaluable. Your proficiency in programming languages such as SQLand ResQ coupled with your effective communication skills make you an ideal candidate for this role. Your ability to interpret numerical data accurately will be key in this role.

  • General london market insurance experience in either reserving or pricing
  • Proven knowledge and capability in applying industry and marketplace knowledge in shaping actuarial and underwriting strategy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to persuade and influence both directly and indirectly
  • Excellent in the use and interpretation of numerical data
