ABOUT YOU:

The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in office administration
  • High level of computer proficiency, including but not limited to the Microsoft office suite of programs (MS Word, Visio & Excel)
  • Well-developed communication, organisational and time-management skills
  • Strong awareness of information security protocols and its relationship to covert policing environments (advantageous but not essential)
  • Level 1 National Security Vetting Clearance (advantageous but not essential)

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Victoria Police is advertising two ongoing, full-time VPS3 Senior Administration Assistant positions with the Human Source Management Unit (HSMU). HSMU is a specialised unit in Intelligence and Covert Support Command (ICSC) and provides oversight and governance to members across Victoria in ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies and practices. As a Senior Administration Assistant, you will be responsible for providing a high level of administrative support to staff across the Unit.

YOUR DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Provide customer service and coordinate correspondence, emails and records on behalf of the unit.
  • Deliver various administrative functions including procurement, asset coordination, record management and filing.
  • Manage diaries and perform secretariat duties in support of various committees.
  • Support numerous projects and initiatives including archiving, recordkeeping, and updates to processes.
  • Maintain records, reports, databases and audits in line with relevant policies and legislation.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
