QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree and four years of experience; or a high school diploma/equivalent and eight years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight years.)
Oversee administrative, academic, and fiscal processes of the Department of Sport Management. Manage day-to-day workflow, oversee and provide direction to full-time and OPS staff and assign staff responsibilities. Complete performance evaluations, as necessary. Analyze and make recommendations regarding internal policies and procedures. Serve as HR and budget manager for the Unit. Perform all transactional tasks related to HR needs including processing faculty and OPS appointments, related Dual Comps, RDF’s, payroll troubleshooting, new hires, and FMLA needs for department.
Oversee and monitor budget activities for E&G, C&G, AUX, and Foundation accounts for the Unit. Analyze spreadsheets and provide financial reports. Make recommendations on budgetary planning. Approve expenditures when Chair is unavailable. Handle all responsibilities related to the Budget Manager role, and act as the liaison for department with University related budgetary matters. Department liaison with ODL with budget matters and appointment of Graduate Assistants.
Oversee Graduate coordination for the Unit. Assist and manage functions for program development and curriculum processes. Provide support and supervision over course scheduling processes and ensure accuracy of the Unit’s course offerings for graduate and undergraduate students. Serves as Waiver Coordinator for SM department. Responsible for entering & verifying all GA waivers.
Serve as FACET and AOR representative for the Unit. Conducts and/or leads research analysis of data for university data collections and reporting. Serves as Department Security Coordinator and manage the department’s records. Provide oversight for the P&T process in the department.
Coordinates and attends department meetings. Creates and monitors office policies and procedures. Manage key and key card access for Tully Gym. Coordinates training and development for staff. Provide recommendations and assists with operational decisions for Department Chair. Provide administrative support and guidance to faculty, staff, and students.
