SENIOR ADVISOR ENGAGEMENT

We are looking for an experienced engagement professional who is strong at developing communication and education materials for stakeholders to join our Online Gambling Implementation team as a Senior Advisor Engagement. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape how we introduce a new regulatory system to New Zealand.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

We’re looking for someone who is a creative communicator and relationship builder, comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. You’ll thrive on collaboration and be confident turning complexity into clear, user-friendly content.

You’ll bring skills and experience in:

• Developing and delivering engagement and communication plans in complex environments
• Writing plain-language industry guidance and public education materials
• Using tools for visual design and CRM systems (for audience engagement and campaign delivery).
• Designing communications across multiple mediums (digital, print, webinars, video)
• Building strong relationships with stakeholders and colleagues across disciplines (policy, legal, operational design, and regulatory services)

ABOUT US

This is a rare opportunity to help build a new regulatory regime in New Zealand. Online gambling is regulated in many overseas jurisdictions and New Zealand will draw on these examples while creating our own fit-for-purpose approach. You’ll join a multi-disciplinary team working at pace to stand up the new regulatory system, then support the transition to regulatory BAU.

As Senior Advisor Engagement, you’ll play a central role in:

• Developing clear, practical guidance for industry so operators understand the regulatory requirements and how to meet them.
• Creating engaging communications across multiple platforms to reach stakeholders from international regulators, operators, government agencies, NGOs and the New Zealand public.
• Supporting marketing and player awareness to ensure the new system is well understood, accessible and trusted.
• Supporting engagement and education through key phases of the new system including expression of interest, auction, licence application and setting clear expectations for ongoing compliance.
