Step into a Senior Advisor role where your expertise will directly influence the direction of New Zealand’s health system. Working at the intersection of data, policy, and strategy, you’ll play a key role in modernising the New Zealand Health Survey and delivering high-quality insights that shape better health outcomes. Ko tōu ake mahi – What you’ll do Shape a flagship programme: Contribute to and help modernise the New Zealand Health Survey, working with technical experts to deliver high-value, policy-focused insights Lead key projects: Drive the development and implementation of key initiatives for health surveys and the wider Evidence & Research Unit, that strengthen programme performance Deliver impactful advice: Provide high-quality advice, analysis, and outputs that support evidence-based decision-making across the Ministry Build capability and best practice: Mentor and coach team members, champion continuous improvement, and uplift capability across the team Collaborate for impact: Build strong relationships across the Ministry, health sector, and stakeholders to deliver connected, equitable outcomes Ko ngā pūkenga ōu - What you’ll bring Relevant tertiary qualification in a quantitative or research field (or equivalent experience) Proven project management capability, with the ability to plan, organise, and deliver work on time Strong customer focus with experience engaging and collaborating with stakeholders or customers to meet their information needs Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to communicate clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles Strong foundational analytical skills: experience working with R and reporting on survey data is desirable Highly organised and adaptable, with strong critical thinking, sound judgement, and attention to detail Ngā hua o tō mātou whare - What we bring Discover a world of opportunities for personal and professional growth.
