KEY KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

• Experience in the design of adult learning and technology enhanced eLearning resources, with experience in managing an LMS.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and current experience in a range of contemporary instructional design, blended learning development and assessment strategies.
• Experience designing learning in a compliance environment is highly regarded.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Degree qualification in learning and development or adult education or computer science or equivalent, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.

THE ROLE

As Senior Advisor Learning Design, you’ll collaborate with leaders and teams to craft engaging, purpose-driven eLearning experiences. Focused on developing self-paced modules or interactive videos, you’ll design solutions that align with departmental goals and support how people learn. Your creativity and technical expertise will shine as you develop content that’s not only informative but truly impactful. You will operate as the Learning Management System (LMS) technical expert to help maximise the reach and impact of the Department’s learning and have the opportunity to facilitate virtual workshops.
You’ll navigate and manage diverse stakeholder needs and tight timelines with confidence, turning complex ideas into clear, accessible learning. From partnering with subject matter experts to managing external vendors, you’ll ensure every learning product is polished, practical, and designed to help people grow.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey ideas and collaborate with team members.
• Strong instructional design capability, with a deep understanding of adult learning principles in a digital environment.
• Technical proficiency in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, or similar.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality learning solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Creativity and innovation to bring fresh ideas and approaches to learning design, problem-solving and project development.
• Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills, fostering strong relationships and ensuring alignment with diverse stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
